Something backfired

As I mentioned before, I’ve already decided to run everyday with Phoebe. After running for more than a week, Phoebe said that we should go to the health centre to weigh our weight now. With huge expectations, we went to the health centre immediately. Finally, it was the moment. I stood at the body weight scale. However, my plan to lose some weight backfired and turned out to gain some weight. At that moment, I just wanted to scream. I’ve run almost more than one week and eaten less food than before. But, what I saw was that I gained some weight. I was totally stunned. I felt so frustrated and questioned myself whether I wanted to keep running or not. It made me feel so frustrated because I’ve made a lot of efforts to lose weight. I didn’t see any change in me, still, I had to keep on running everyday. I believed that if I keep on running, I will lose some weight sooner or later.

Hi Ellie. I have been enjoying your posts a lot, and also practicing my Spanish (ja ja ja!). I see that there are not enough entries this time (should be 21 for the first blogging period) so that will hurt your grade a bit. Also, I see a bunch of count/noncount errors, especially with the ball teams' names: "the Yankees" etc. You don't need to weight your weight; just weigh yourselves instead. ". . .and it turned out that I had gained some weight instead." What does "almost more than one week" mean?? Have you run a full week, which is nearly more than a week? "Effort" is noncount in this case. "Everyday" is an adjective; use "every day." Tense problem in "I believed" since you still believe it. Good in general, though. This entry's errors are pretty typical of your writing elsewhere. Grade for this time: 72. Write regularly for the second time and you'll do better.
